30 Please
30 Please is a local, metric version of the 20’s plenty for us campaign in Europe. It is a campaign to push for 30km/h to become to default speed limit on residential and urban streets in Australia. In Jan 2021, we wrote a letter urging each of the Sydney Councils to consider implementing 30 km/h speed limits for urban and residential streets with particular priority for those frequently used by children and young adults.
The new speed limit is already being trialled / implemented in a few locations around NSW:
