The M2 (North Ryde) will be closed between Epping Road and Lane Cove Road from 7pm Saturday (28 Dec) until 1pm Sunday for Stage 2 installation of the Lachlan’s Line 160m pedestrian and cycle bridge.
Delhi Road will also be closed from 8pm tonight until Monday morning
The new bridge is part of the Lachlan Line’s development connecting new housing with the Macquarie Park employment centre and North Ryde public transport, whilst safely bypassing the roadway.
The project will provide 18,800m2 of public open space, including a central park with all abilities playground and a learn-to-skate park, smaller pocket parks and regenerated bushland.
KI Studio with Arup consultant engineers have developed a unique helix themed concept design for a pedestrian and cycle bridge, including hanging gardens.
It’s great to see such an innovative and interesting design, rather than the usual concrete overpass.
