So…. 2024 seems to be the election year of active travel!
Bike lanes and streetscape activation seems to be the hot topic, along with Sydney’s rats..? 🐀
WalkSydney started early by sending out existing councillors a walkability survey featuring multiple questions about support for walkability in our community.
We were pleased that 100% of respondents (so far) acknowledge and agree that Sydney has work to do to better support safety for children walking or cycling to school.
Our 30km/h speed questions were still very highly supported by those that completed the survey:
