Make Sydney More Walkable

Vision

Walking will be convenient, accessible, safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Mission

WalkSydney works to influence the infrastructure, policies, decision-making processes and relevant institutions.

Outcomes

Safer, calmer streets and designs that provide for the needs of people who walk, cycle and use public transport.

Unsafe For Walkers And Riders

At least 20 people, most of them children, queued up like bowling pins, on a refugee island at City Road and Cleveland Street, Sydney. Other groups are held back at the Seymour Centre, or have been already ferried across City Road to Victoria Park. This is typical, but not good, urban design.
