In January 2021, WalkSydney approached Sydney Councils to request 30km/h speed limit trials in our local government areas. Below are the responses we have received.

Sutherland Shire Council (23 Mar 2021)

30 km/h speed limit will be a consideration in the development of Council’s Road and Freight Strategy.

Willoughby City Council (3 Feb 2021)

Council will seek more information.

Mosman City Council (4 Feb 2021)

At this stage there is no proposal to undertake a trial.

City of Sydney (17 Feb 2021)

Council / Lord Mayor to investigate the request.

Hills Shire Council (3 Mar 2021)

Council is looking forward to monitoring the results of the trials in Manly and Liverpool to learn more.

Fairfield Council (8 Mar 2021)

Council will consider the request based on the outcome and pilot project.
